How Real is YouTubes Censorship?

Multiple content creators talk about YouTube's actions regarding censorship. Some state that the algorithm hunts words on content, some say it is the type of niche and others suggest it is the type of content like videos vs live streaming. Not sure but here are my thoughts so far. What are yours?
